What to Expect

During Spring Cheer

Practice Attire: 

  • Athletes should wear shorts or leggings, t-shirt or tank (no baggy tops), and athletic shoes. 

  • Returners should wear cheer shoes.

  • Our program has loaner cheer shoes in a wide-variety of sizes.  Individuals who are new to cheer will try to be fitted with a pair they can borrow for the spring.

  • Hair pulled back

  • Short nails

  • No jewelry

Practices: 

  • Group #1

    • March 17-June 2

    • Every Monday

    • 4:30-6:00pm

    • Typically at Richmond Street School

    • No Practice April 7 (ES Spring Break)

  • Group #2

    • Starts Wednesday, April 16-June 2

    • Every Monday and Wednesday

    • 6:00-7:30pm

    • Parents will be expected to arrive early to assist with mat set-up and stay after to assist with tear down.

    • No Practice on May 26

  • Group #3

    • Starts Wednesday, April 16- June 2

    • Every Monday and Wednesday

    • 6:00-7:30pm

    • Athletes will be expected to arrive early to assist with mat set-up and stay after to assist with tear down.

    • No Practice on May 26

  • Group #4

    • Starts Wednesday, April 16-May 16

    • Every Monday and Wednesday

    • 6:00-7:30pm

Practice Groups:

  • Group #1

    • All individuals currently in grade 1 and 2. 

  • Group #2

    • All individuals who are currently in grades 3, 4 & 5.

  • Group #3

    • Individuals currently in grades 6 & 7.

  • Group #4

    • Individuals currently in 8th grade who participated in the 24-25 season of El Segundo Youth Cheer
